This book is about conflict resolution through mediation, from a psychological perspective. Although partly written from a litigation viewpoint, it demonstrates how an appreciation of the psychological aspects of conflict and of the emotional strategies people adopt in dispute situations can assist both lawyers and non-lawyers in resolving conflicts. It was co-written with the late Dr Freddie Strasser, an eminent psychotherapist, and published in November 2004. It has a Foreword by the late Lord Slynn of Hadley, and was favourably reviewed in The Times by Sir Henry Brooke, former Vice President of the Court of Appeal, and current chairman of the CMC. |
